Wills & Trusts
Nearly every adult American should have a will and/or a trust. These are the documents that give your instructions for the distribution of your assets when you die. They specify the persons you want to care for your minor children if something should happen to you. They name the individuals or entities you want to distribute or hold your assets for the benefit of your heirs. In short, they are of vital importance.
Mr. Zier has drafted wills and trusts for clients for 35 years. These include the simplest to the most complex of wills, the barest testamentary trusts to life insurance trusts. Tax planning, coordination with IRA’s, 401k’s, and pensions, and the role of life insurance all play into the documents ultimately prepared for you. Fortunately, Congress has recently passed legislation making more clear the parameters of federal estate taxation, and it appears that most citizens will now escape that tax. This will simplify matters in preparing wills for our clients. If you want to avoid probate, Mr. Zier will suggest trust possibilities for you.
